So March was eventful for me, to say the least.
Here is The N List.
The N List is composed by me, it's a collection of things I thoroughly enjoyed during the month,
1. The Smithsonian Museum of African American History
This was an amazing experience, I literally cried real tears of joy and hope. Hope that I would one day be among the greats. I must advise to get your passes early, because they're always sold out. The museum was very crowded but it didn’t take away from an unforgettable experience. And plus who doesn't enjoy a trip to Washington D.C.
And while you're there take a stop by The Hamilton for a bite to eat, I loved the mambo wings and brussel sprouts cooked with bacon and honey!
2. Big Little Lies
I'm not the biggest television watcher but I love me some Nicole Kidman, she’s one of my favorite actresses. And so my newest obsession is this suspenseful show that literally has me on the edge of my couch with a glass of wine every Sunday night.
Big Little Lies follows three 1st grade moms through lives and it stars Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Zoe Kravitz.
I promise you won’t regret giving this show a try.
3. Charlotte O.C.
New in music for me, is this beauty Charlotte. Well, I’ll be honest I can’t tell you much about her but she has this song called Where The Heart Is, and it literally brings tears to my eyes as I sit in bed and play it over and over again. The new artist reminds me of Adele mixed with Duffy and we all know that’s a crazy combination. Check the song out!
4. Mission Accomplished
I’m not often inspired by people or even things but Sister Sarah ( as me and my friend call her) are in love with First Lady Sarah Jakes Roberts, daughter of T.D. Jakes.
I have been following Sarah since I was in college and I consider it a beautiful thing to witness her growth as a woman and a sister in Christ.
Sarah is slowly but surely stepping into the Call that God has over her life and I am so here for it.
You can catch her on most Thursdays mornings on the Podcast app – Mission Accomplished was her most recent and it seriously wrecked it.
I’ve listened about four times and it saturates a different part of me every time I listen.
1. Love Belvin
I could have easily listed any of the other books I’m currently reading which are mainly self-help and Spiritual based…but nope not this time! This author has rightfully earned her very own spot on this month’s The N List. For months, my friends have told me to dive into her books but because I rarely get a break in between creating my own masterpieces, the time was never allotted for me to read.
About three weeks ago I was in desperate need of a break from my laptop and Love Belvin became my escape. It’s not too often I’m in love with a book, not even my own but as once upon a time avid reader of romance and urban fiction…Love Belvin is in a league of her own.
My boyfriend is my witness for a few days straight I stayed up day and night, not even bothering to do anything other than take a bath, cook and get right back to reading. She is an amazing author and one whose journey I’ll be paying close attention too.
I’m not caught up on her catalog just yet but slowly but surely I’m doing so.
Check her out today!
